I won the ovarian lottery by being born in Southern California. Chino Hills is 35 miles from the coast, but I never learned to surf or skate. I was raised in a beige pink house exactly the same as the one next to it. This exact concrete jungle isn’t what I associate as my home. After 18 years of “cutting my teeth” and a cushy lifestyle I had had enough. I always knew in my gut that I had to leave or else I would get stuck there. Everyday I’m grateful I trusted this feeling. After 4 grueling years of culinary school in Rhode Island, I booked a flight to Melbourne Australia. The only reason I went was for an unpaid internship at the best restaurant in the whole country and number 32 in the world. Now I travel the world in search of new cultures to curate. My hopes are that it will inspire others to break out of their comfort zone bubble and explore the world.
